6.57 When you look at the world as a whole, happiness is very unevenly spread. For the World Happiness score, researchers zero in on objec tive factors contributing to happiness (e.g., income, health and social sup- port) alongside perceived factors, Singapur Singapore such as subjective feelings of security. Finland has topped the rankings for seven years now, followed closely by other wealthy nations. Yet it is also in rich countries that happiness 6.11 among younger people is currently on the wane. Could that be a sign that full bellies and stable careers on their own are not automatically enough to guarantee happiness? The World Happiness Report suggests that feelings of happiness often occur in unremarkable situations – during a meal together, for example, or when we’re caring for another person.
