Material topics
The objective was to systematically identify and prioritize the sustainability issues that are most important for us and our stakeholders. The topics addressed in the sustainability report were broken down into the areas of economy, people and environment based on the “three pillars of sustainability.”
A comprehensive materiality analysis was carried out for the previous certified Gebrüder Weiss sustainability report in 2021. The methodology included a wide-ranging employee survey and qualitative interviews with key stakeholders, such as customers, business partners and other external interest groups.
The current materiality matrix was reviewed by internal and external specialists in the course of the 2024 sustainability report. The analysis confirmed that no material changes in the relevance of the issues identified have arisen since 2021. The priorities that were set at that time thus continue to apply. Moreover, other topics going beyond the materiality analysis have been added to the current sustainability report.
