Actively designing resilience
Global crises, political tensions and volatile markets place high requirements on the management of international supply chains. To be able to ensure quick and targeted responses, Gebrüder Weiss operates its own Situation Center, where we continuously analyze risks, assess their impacts and derive specific actions to counter them – with the aim of maintaining security of supply for our customers at all times. Customer satisfaction in focus We regularly measure the satisfaction of our customers with our services – with structured surveys, systematic feedback management and detailed evaluations. In this way, we can identify changes in their requirements at an early stage and make targeted improvements to our services. Our aim: to continue to be consistently reliable, focused on solutions and live up to our customers’ expectations. Reviewing effectiveness, refining strategy We regularly review whether our measures are having the desired effect – by means of internal evaluations such as the financial report and the annual compliance report. We use the insights gained from these evaluations in a targeted way to continuously scrutinize and refine our strategic direction.
Economic performance The stability and performance of Gebrüder Weiss is also evident in a difficult market environment: the 2024 fiscal year closed with net sales of € 2.71 billion. This corresponds to a year-on-year increase of 10.1 percent (2023: € 2.46 billion). Despite geopolitical and economic tensions, we gained market share in 2024 and thus bucked the trend by recording growth. By investing in our network, in automation and digital innova- tions, we are expanding our range of services and developing the right solutions for our customers – with the clear aim of guaranteeing stable supply chains.
Procurement and value creation
Gebrüder Weiss makes targeted investment in its infrastructure and thereby contributes to the economic development of the regions in which we operate. We prefer to work here with local suppliers and service providers and to strengthen regional value chains in this way. With a contract volume of € 100 million, the construction of our new logistics and IT center in Wolfurt, Austria, represented one of the largest investments in the 2024 reporting year. Sustain- able building materials and energy-efficient technologies were used and installed during the construction. In addition, our locations create employment and training opportunities for people on site. We are engaged in training programs, cooperate with educational institutions and support local projects – as an employer and as an integral part of the regional economy.
