Information security and data protection Gebrüder Weiss protects the data that are entrusted to us – whether this is via our website, in electronic communications or through other channels. We act responsibly and ensure that all national and European data protection regulations are complied with. The basis for our data protection and information security is provided by a register of processing activities that is applied throughout the company. It documents transparently which personal data we process, for what purposes and on what legal basis and to whom the data is forwarded. The register is updat- ed on an ongoing basis. In the event that data protection incidents occur, we have de- fined clear technical and organizational measures that enable us to respond quickly and effectively.
Transport security Gebrüder Weiss focuses specifically on preventive security measures in order to strengthen the resilience of its Eu- rope-wide supply chains – with particular attention paid to theft protection. Key account customers are one of the most important stakeholder groups here, as they place the highest requirements on the security and reliability of their transport processes. A core component of our security strategy is the continual training of our own driving personnel and also of external freight forwarders. This training promotes the awareness of security along the entire supply chain and creates the basis for taking proactive action in emergencies. Gebrüder Weiss has been a member of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) for over 20 years. The association's internationally recognized security standards are the benchmark for the protection of goods during trans- portation and storage. Currently, 13 of our locations are TAPA-certified – other locations are in the process of being evaluated. Securing international transport chains brings complex challenges with it. These include the increasing profession- alization of criminal structures – for example through the use of AI and modern technology as well as through organized action – and the need to react with a coordinated, multi-team response. Gebrüder Weiss reviews its internal security requirements on a regular basis to make sure they are up to date. New threat scenarios lead directly to the adjustment of existing protection concepts. We ensure that our measures are effective by un- dergoing regular TAPA recertification processes and also by implementing our Group-wide security policy, which is based on national and international standards.
