Anti-corruption Gebrüder Weiss is a member of Transparency International and is committed to the fundamental principles of transparen- cy, integrity, accountability, the rule of law as well as fairness in business and civil courage. A Group-wide Compliance Committee monitors compliance with our policies and legal requirements in the area of anti-cor- ruption. It is composed of managers from the Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Administrative Support, Product Manage- ment and Human Resources Development divisions.
Supplier relationship management A core aspect here is the review of our suppliers in terms of compliance, CSR and sustainability standards. This is important not least on account of legal requirements, as laid down for example in the German Lieferkettensorgfaltspflicht - gesetz (Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains). We request appropriate evidence of our suppliers’ activities in the areas of CSR and sustainability depending on the risk category they have been classified in. ― Approximately 114,000 registered suppliers in SRM (supplier relationship management) (2023: approximately 95,000) ― Of these, 88% are approved to supply Gebrüder Weiss (2023: 89%). ― 7,559 of the suppliers are assessed for compliance and CSR and are defined as key suppliers (2023: 7,000). Incidents of corruption One case of embezzlement (see page 31 “Compliance with laws and regulations”) was classed as an incident of corrup- tion in 2024. This case was resolved by terminating the em- ployment relationship. By comparison, there were no incidents of corruption and no legal proceedings in this area in 2023. Anti-competitive behavior 2024 saw one case of anti-competitive behavior (see page 31 “Compliance with laws and regulations”), while no breaches of anti-monopoly and antitrust law were identified in 2023 and no legal proceedings for anti-competitive behavior were instituted.
