110 new apprentices in Austria, Germany and Switzerland We are pleased to report that the number of apprentices at Gebrüder Weiss remains stable: 323 young people are current- ly completing their apprenticeships at 41 locations in the DACH region; around 40 percent of them are women. Moreover, we offer training programs with a strong practical orientation in Bul- garia, Serbia and Hungary with concepts that are similar to the dual education systems in the German-speaking countries. We are also planning to recruit around 110 apprentices in 2025. Our apprentices receive a thorough introduction to the transport and logistics industry and are prepared specifically for their fu - ture career in this field. In addition to professional qualifications, we attach great importance to personal development – through personal responsibility, teamwork and individualized support throughout the duration of the training.
