How do we use different perspectives to achieve success together?
Diversity and equal opportunity at Gebrüder Weiss
Gebrüder Weiss stands for a work environment that respects and treats all people equally irrespective of their origin, gen- der, age, religion or physical condition. We ensure that human rights are respected, we promote inclusion, we meet all legal requirements – and we go much, much further. The diversity of our employees strengthens our social and intercultural skills. Different perspectives lead to more cre- ative solutions and help us better cater to the needs of our customers. A lack of equal opportunities brings risks: from dwindling motivation and higher employee turnover to discrimination and poorer working conditions for individual groups. We imple-
ment targeted preventive measures to counter this, including training courses, awareness programs and coaching and mediation offers. Our goal is to create inclusive, respectful interaction in every team and in every division. We also pay attention to fair standards at external partners. We do not work with companies that disregard diversity and equal opportunity – for the good of our values, our employees and our credibility on the market. Any incidents that may nevertheless arise trigger defined procedures, including internal investigation processes and co- operation with external agencies – with the aim of preventing discrimination effectively and over the long term.
